In a solid orbit

Rachel

Hey there,

Just a quick note on the Soul Food gig last Sunday (May 25).

Nice time. Church-like and relaxed. The theme was Oneness and my stuff was dispersed at various times between the readings. Check out my Set Lists page for a rundown of the tunage played.

Thanks to Sonjel Vreeland, who organizes the monthly Soul Food event, for asking me. I’d be glad to go back again.

For now, maintaining station keeping. Hope to have news of gigs supporting Everything. All The Time. in the next few days. You’ll be the first to know.

Peace.

Sending my new baby into the world

Hey all,

Happy Victoria Day. For those reading in Canada, it can be more than a holiday celebrating Queen Victoria’s birthday given our still-strong ties to Great Britain.

If not, then it’s a quaint tradition left over from a different time (not that it’s a terrible thing). And there’s nuttin’ wrong with a day off.

Anyway, it’s a birthday of another kind as my new CD, Everything. All The Time., is out in the world, left the nest as it were.

Above is the cover artwork. Another fine picture by Michael Liu and once again a top job by the good folks at Kwik Kopy in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

Below is the track listing.

Everything. All The Time. should be available for sampling and downloading on iTunes by June 1, and Amazonmp3 and Spotify sometime later.

OK, here are the songs:

1. East Coast

2. (We’ll Always Have) The Trees

3. 1938

4. Mary Marie

5. Untamed Light

6. NR Stomp

7. The Gully

8. Honey, You’re Right

9. I’m Running

10. Floater

Look for tour dates in October and the odd one-off gig over the summer. I’ll keep ya updated.

Also, the shows in the fall supporting Everything. All The Time. will have CDs and tour merchandise for sale, including a distinctive new trinket I’m anxious to reveal, giveaways and stuff from the Songs from Langley Road Tour last year.

In the meantime, go to my Links page and visit Songcast for a preview song from the new CD. Right now, I’m featuring East Coast and I’ll rotate the songs every now and then.

And check out my Lyrics page from time to time for words from Everything. All The Time.

Once again, Thanks for listening.

And… Peace.

On stage again

Hey Gang,

Sunday morning coming down. Not really.

And Happy Mother’s Day to all you mommas. It’s a good world with y’all in it.

Just a quick note that I’m playing a gig Sunday, May 25, 10-11 a.m., at Studio 1 in the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown.

It’s for a Bahá’i Faith group called Soul Food, a monthly meeting of artists, philosophers, painters etc., a tasty humanities smorgasbord that employs a local musician for a few songs. This month, that musician is me.

So I’ve rigged up a classical geetar set (or in my case classical-ish or esque, you choose). Check out my new page Set Lists for the rundown.

Also, the Soul Food website is on my Links page (sensing a theme here…).

Anyway, look for my new CD, Everything. All The Time., on iTunes June 1 if all goes well.

As always, Peace.
