Hey all,
Summer been berry, berry good to me. I’m tanned in some places, burnt and peeling in others and fully mellowed out. And thinking of new ways to do things.
That’s led to my offering my albums strictly online beginning with Everything. All The Time.
So at the Everything. All The Time. shows this fall I won’t have any new CDs and I’ll refer folks to iTunes, Amazonmp3, etc., to download my tunes. Previous hardcopies (the ones I haven’t sold) of older CDs I’ll still offer until they’re gone, but I’m not producing anymore.
Just thought as I watch blank CD packs dwindle in stores and people glued to smartphones, iPods and iPads ‘Who will use CDs in a few years?’ and ‘Why would you want to when you can get a song(s) in seconds and listen to it without needing a separate player?’
I’ll still publish an upcoming album’s cover art and liner notes on this website (I’ve always loved credits) and will start working on getting artwork from previous albums online so you can take a look and a read.
I’m all for instant gratification, or at least gratification as fast as your device and internet connection will allow.
But goodies at the shows will be real like T-shirts (we’ll still use those unless naked life becomes the norm) and other merch, and giveaways. And me – I’m not CGI yet, but I’m working on it.
